Cobalt Digital’s IBC 2026 Lineup Showcases Practical Pathways to SDI and to ST 2110/IPMX

IBC 2026 will serve as its backdrop as Cobalt Digital conducts technology demonstrations and showcases enhancements to its product portfolio that simplify signal processing, monitoring and IP integration as broadcast and professional AV facilities continue to adopt hybrid SDI/IP workflows while transitioning to software-defined production environments.
At Stand 8.F90, the company will present new connectivity options, expanded IPMX functionality and new features incorporated into its award-winning signal processing portfolio. The lineup is designed around a practical approach to hybrid infrastructure, giving users tools to integrate ST 2110/IPMX technologies without sacrificing the flexibility and reliability of established SDI workflows.
Dante Connectivity Extends the Reach of openGear
For the first time, Cobalt will showcase its 9935-AUD4-DANTE openGear advanced audio processor cards with optional fiber inputs and outputs for Dante Audio Interface applications.
The fiber connectivity is designed to simplify Dante installations, particularly in environments requiring longer-distance connections. By providing direct fiber connectivity, the solution can also eliminate the need for external media conversion within fiber-based network infrastructures.
The 9935-AUD4-DANTE combines quad-channel 12G Dante/AES/MADI processing with embed and de-embed capabilities and frame synchronization. The card provides two Gigabit Ethernet ports, a 64×64 configuration and a full audio router/mixer, giving facilities a broad range of options for managing audio within hybrid workflows.
IPMX Capabilities Expand with JPEG XS
Cobalt is also extending the capabilities of its IPMX portfolio with support for JPEG XS Temporal Differential Coding (JXS TDC).
The enhancement enables Cobalt’s IPMX-certified products to discover, establish and transport visually lossless, ultra-low-latency JPEG XS media streams. This enhancement provides a true plug-and-play approach to JPEG XS workflows while maintaining interoperability in mixed-vendor environments.
JPEG XS support is available across Cobalt’s ST 2110/IPMX-capable product families, including the SAPPHIRE and INDIGO lines, UltraBlue MV and blueCORE processors.

blueCORE Packs Processing Power into 1RU
Another major focus at IBC 2026 will be Cobalt’s blueCORE processing platform, which has received multiple industry awards since its introduction at the 2026 NAB Show.
Designed as a self-contained, multifunction processing platform, blueCORE combines a wide selection of video and audio tools in a compact 1RU form factor. The architecture is intended to give broadcasters greater flexibility as production requirements evolve while helping protect existing infrastructure investments.
blueCORE’s processing capabilities include up/down/cross conversion, color correction, several flavors of HDR processing, audio routing and mixing, per-channel frame synchronization, frame-rate conversion, audio embedding and de-embedding, SCTE-104 insertion and logo insertion. Additional base features enable blueCORE to deliver extensive functionality in a single compact unit.
blueCORE supports SDI inputs and outputs in both copper and fiber configurations, with four channels of 3G processing or a single channel up to 12G. It also provides ST 2110/IPMX inputs and outputs, making the platform a ‘must have’ for hybrid facilities or infrastructures progressing toward IP.
The ST 2110 version consumes less than 80W, while the compact design and ability to operate with or without a computer make the platform particularly well-suited to mobile production environments, including trucks and OB vans.
