Accedo has supported Record, one of Brazil’s largest media companies, to refresh and modernize its OTT service, RecordPlus.
The new platform is designed to improve performance, reliability, security, and operational efficiency while enabling RecordPlus to continuously evolve its streaming offering. It will also be airing one of the biggest reality shows of the region: A Fazenda, which starts on 14th September and is anticipated to have a huge audience.
Launched in 2018 as PlayPlus and rebranded to RecordPlus in 2025 to align with parent brand, Record, the streaming service features original and exclusive content with live and on-demand programming for all the family, alongside a suite of FAST channels offering 24/7 programming.

Accedo managed the modernization of RecordPlus from start to finish, migrating the service’s front- and back-end to a modern, scalable, cloud-based technology stack capable of delivering an enhanced user experience and supporting future growth. The refreshed platform leverages Accedo’s extensive OTT experience and award-winning software to deliver a unified multiplatform video experience across mobile devices, web, CTVs, and streaming devices.
Accedo coordinated the integration of third party technology, also ensuring that Record’s existing third-party services were seamlessly integrated into the new ecosystem, to enable a seamless transition. Post launch, Accedo will continue to operate and maintain the RecordPlus service, providing users with a consistently high-quality streaming experience.

Dado Lancellotti, Managing Director – Multiplatform, Record, commented: “Record has been a market pioneer and first mover in the digital space and in multiplatform distribution strategies. Following our rebranding and the launch of RecordPlus last year—which has been embraced by more than 17 million users—modernizing the platform was the next natural step, enabling us to offer an even better experience to our viewers, users, and brand enthusiasts, while also supporting the service’s ongoing evolution. Accedo has been instrumental in this process, bringing deep expertise in OTT and a collaborative approach that helped make the transition a success.”
Paloma Santucci, Regional Director LatAm, Accedo, added: “With its extensive catalogue, RecordPlus is one of Brazil’s most popular streaming services. To support its ambitions for continued growth, RecordPlus needed a modern and flexible foundation capable of meeting viewer requirements both now, and in the future. The new platform delivers on all fronts, allowing RecordPlus to maintain its strong position in the competitive Brazilian market. “
Accedo will be at IBC from 11th – 14th September on booth 5.D76. To find out more about its expert services and award-winning software, call by the Accedo booth or get in touch to book a meeting.
