Bob Caniglia, Director of Sales Operations, North America of Blackmagic Design

Bob Caniglia, Director of Sales Operations North America of Blackmagic Design, said to Prensario: ‘At IBC 2023, we’re excited to present our latest innovations in filmmaking technology, notably the Blackmagic URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF. This evolution of our advanced digital film camera integrates a high performance optical low pass filter into the 12K Super 35 image sensor, revolutionizing filmmaking by reducing moiré and aliasing, all while preserving color and image detail’.

‘The URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF also boasts advanced IR filtering, significantly enhancing far red color response, which when combined with Blackmagic RAW processing, ensures the preservation of color and critical image detail – setting new standards for image fidelity’.

‘Additionally, the URSA Mini Pro 12K OLPF is part of Netflix’s Approved Camera List, underscoring its compatibility with the streamer’s stringent capture requirements, including dynamic range, resolution, codec, workflow compatibility and more’.

‘In addition to our camera innovations, we’re showcasing DaVinci Resolve 18.5 with new AI tools, over 150 feature upgrades, and enhancements for editors, colorists and VFX artists to work more efficiently and creatively’.

‘The latest update includes Resolve FX relight, speech-to-text editing, automatic subtitling, AI audio classification, the multi-merge tool and collaborative tools like USD file support, catering to the diverse needs of modern post production workflows’.

‘For our live production and broadcast customers, we will also be showcasing the latest offerings in the Blackmagic Studio Camera family. This includes the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2, which is tailored for professional SDI switchers and features 12G-SDI, XLR audio, bright HDR LCD, talkback, 10G Ethernet IP link, built-in live streaming, and more. In addition, there’s the Blackmagic Studio Camera 6K Pro, which not only inherits many of the capabilities of the Blackmagic Studio Camera 4K Pro G2 but also boasts a larger 6K sensor, an EF lens mount, and the convenience of remote-controllable ND filters’.

‘We’re excited to share these innovations and more with our customers and attendees and look forward to connecting with them at IBC!. The energy at IBC 2023 is always amazing so we’re looking forward to meeting with attendees at our booth 7.C49‘, remarked Caniglia.
