Looking forward to NAB Show 2022, Prensario spoke with Jay Wallace, Senior Regional Sales Manager, about the situation in Latin America and the positive topics of Clear-Com during 2021.
‘In 2021, we were fortunate enough to be able to release numerous new products and updates for which we have been honored with various industry awards. We remained fully operational during these last couple of years, including our manufacturing facility in Southern California, and have even seen increased demand for some of our products that enable remote production workflows, which were already being used at many broadcast facilities, but were needed in higher quantities and in other markets’.
‘We saw many of our live events partners convert from primarily only live event production to virtual event production and hybrid event production—in many cases, they were able to supplement their existing Clear-Com products with our remote solutions’.
‘It’s been inspiring for us to continue seeing Clear-Com solutions in many different applications – from concerts to the local news, and from exploring the bottom of the oceans to lunar landings’.
Situation in LATAM
About the situation in Latam, Wallace mentioned: ‘LATAM is a large and diverse region, each individual country has had to deal with their own variety of challenges throughout the pandemic’.
‘Fortunately, conditions continue to improve and live performances, meetings, and themed entertainment have begun to return. Our Broadcast business, which is a major market in LATAM, has remained steady’.
‘I took over the LATAM sales territory earlier this year, and I was able to visit several of our Partners at the end of Q1 to get a sense of their individual needs moving forward—I am excited to continue growing these relationships and supporting their business success’.
Wallace remarked that the best solutions for Latin America partners after the pandemic are Wireless products including FreeSpeak II® Digital Wireless Intercom, and DX Series of Digital Wireless Intercoms continue to be the most popular items.
‘With our DX systems, users love their Adaptive Frequency Hopping (AFH) modes, to avoid interference with Wi-Fi, and the advanced sound quality. FreeSpeak II continues to be the de facto standard for wireless intercom operation in the 1.9GHz and 2.4GHz band across various markets’.
‘The exceptional RF performance and reliable connections across the system give our Partners the peace of mind they need for staying connected at every step of operation’, added Wallace.
New solutions for NAB Show 2022
‘Clear-Com will have hands-on demonstrations on Booth #C6908 of the recently released Arcadia Central Station, which will soon include a very exciting new integration with HelixNet®’.
‘Also, at the booth we will be showing the FreeSpeak Edge® Base Station, a next-generation IP base station that supports the entire range of FreeSpeak™ products together with third-party Dante devices, and the new Station-IC™ Virtual Desktop Client. With the upcoming release of EHX 13 for our Eclipse® HX Matrix System we offer enhanced redundancy options with N+1 and dual network support, as well as some other exciting new features’.
‘Our booth at NAB will also have a number of other solutions available for demonstration, including HelixNet, Agent-IC® Mobile App, and Trilogy™ Mentor SPG’.
About the expectations of NAB Show 2022, Wallace remarked that there are looking forward to welcoming and reconnecting face to face with many of our distributors, system integrators, and end-users from Latin America.
Objectives for Latin America
‘Now that travel is permitted, in-person visits are a priority. Product training, site surveys, and discussions with consultants on future projects are all part of the mix. We’re looking forward to spending the needed time together to accomplish the exciting upcoming projects’.
