Cobalt Digital has announced plans to show a variety of products at NAB NY 2024 ranging from the new and award-winning COBALT ARIA OG-AUD4-DANTE cards to a platform that includes the recently introduced UltraBlue IP multviewer, and support for ST 2110 support in its encoders, decoders, and converters. Cobalt, the leading designer and manufacturer of award-winning signal processing solutions for live video production and master control, and a founding partner in the openGear® initiative will be demonstrating all these and more in Booth 1005.
Award-winning COBALT ARIA AUD-DANTE
Marking its official debut into the key New York market, Cobalt is highlighting its COBALT ARIA OG-AUD4-DANTE, a product that accommodates applications spanning from Broadcast to Pro AV applications and a recipient of a Best in Market awards within the AV Technology category. The Best in Market program recognizes and celebrates products that are positively impacting the Pro AV technology landscape and are bringing innovation to the Pro AV market.
COBALT ARIA OG-AUD4-DANTE is a DANTE card in openGear form factor that offers dual and quad-channel units with up to 12G DANTE/AES/MADI/Embed and De-Embed functions with Frame Sync capabilities. The cards feature two gigabit Ethernet ports, a 32×32 or 64×64 configuration, and a full audio router mixer. Cobalt also offers the DANTE capability on its 9904-UDX/9905-MPx processing cards for maximum functionality and flexibility.
Award-winning COBALT UltraBlue IP-MV multiviewer
The new COBALT UltraBlue IP-MV multiviewer, winner of a Best of Show award at IBC 2024, can be provided as a turnkey solution with four HDMI heads, or as a software package to run on customer-supplied dedicated hardware, delivering maximum flexibility. Features include support for receiving audio/video content over IP across a variety of protocols and formats with very flexible audio routing, bringing a multitude of options to suit every application.
Cobalt’s lineup will also include SDI multiviewers in openGear form factor: the cascadable 5-input 9970-QS, with support for resolutions of up to 3G, and the 18-input, 2-head 9971, with support for resolutions up to 4K.
Award-winning COBALT® INDIGO OG-2110-BIDI4-GATEWAY
Another Best of Show winner at IBC, Cobalt is bringing its COBALT® INDIGO OG-2110-BIDI4-GATEWAY, a bi-directional quad-channel native ST 2110 interface to SDI I/O available in the openGear form factor to the show. The transmit and receive paths of the GATEWAY can operate simultaneously and the card includes support for ST 2022-7 seamless redundancy switching, as well as IS 04/05 NMOS for automatic discovery and configuration.
COBALT® INDIGO 2110-DC-01 – An On / Off Ramp to and from IP/SDI
COBALT® INDIGO 2110-DC-01 is a factory add-on option for openGear® cards that adds native SMPTE 2110 support with 25G Ethernet interfaces and a complete native ST 2110 stack (including NMOS IS 04/05) to audio/video processing elements. Adding native ST 2110 interfaces provides for an easy-to-manage, fully integrated and cost-effective solution with all advanced processing now available with IP inputs and outputs.
The need for error-prone and expensive multiple devices in the data path is circumvented and the need for an external gateway is eliminated. When mated with a host card, a powerful and processing-dense product is created that is capable of natively processing HD, 3G and 4K IP streams with no quality compromises.
The COBALT INDIGO 2110-DC-01 ST 2110 interface is also available as a simple add-on to Cobalt’s popular 9905-MPx and 9904-UDX-4K openGear processing cards for a solution that provides unparalleled density and unmatched functionality in the industry.
