EiTV, a Brazilian technology company specializing in digital television, streaming and media distribution, will participate in IBC 2026. This year, EiTV‘s primary objective is to introduce the international market to the technologies the company has developed for DTV+ (TV 3.0), Brazil’s next-generation digital television standard, and to expand cooperation with global technology partners involved in developing chipsets, television sets and set-top boxes.
Among the technologies at the center of these meetings will be the DTV+ Middleware (Application-oriented Platform – AoP), developed by EiTV to implement the software layer responsible for running applications and enabling new interactive TV 3.0 services on receiver devices.
EiTV will also present DTV+ Publisher, a platform designed for broadcasters and other participants in the broadcasting ecosystem to implement and manage functions, applications, metadata and new services defined by the Brazilian standard.
“IBC is an important opportunity to introduce the technology we are developing in Brazil to some of the leading players in the global industry. Brazilian TV 3.0 incorporates highly innovative features, and our strategy is to work closely with chipset, television and set-top box manufacturers, as well as other technology partners, to facilitate the implementation of DTV+ in the devices that will reach the market,” says Rodrigo Cascão Araújo, CEO of EiTV.
EiTV‘s presence at IBC is also part of its strategy to strengthen the connection between Brazil’s TV 3.0 ecosystem and the international technology industry. Throughout the event, EiTV representatives will hold technical and business meetings with companies across the sector, with particular attention to semiconductor manufacturers and platform providers serving the global television and receiver-device industries.
In addition to these meetings, EiTV will participate in activities, gatherings and networking events organized by companies and organizations with which it maintains business relationships and technology cooperation, including SET (Brazilian Society of Television Engineering), ENENSYS Technologies, the Fraunhofer Institute, Google and iWedia, among other partners attending the event.
The company’s participation reinforces more than two decades of involvement in the development of Brazilian digital television. Founded in 2005, EiTV has been engaged with the Brazilian Digital Terrestrial Television System Forum (SBTVD Forum) since its creation and continues to contribute actively to the development and evolution of technologies used by the Brazilian broadcasting industry.
EiTV is currently involved in several initiatives related to the deployment of TV 3.0, including the development of DTV+ Middleware, DTV+ Publisher, and tools and applications for the new ecosystem. Within the SBTVD Forum, the company also coordinates activities related to the development of the TV 3.0 Test Suite.
For EiTV, IBC 2026 also represents an opportunity to position Brazilian technology within an increasingly global industry.
“TV 3.0 creates an opportunity for Brazil to once again play a relevant role in the technological evolution of television. Our ambition goes beyond developing solutions for the Brazilian market. We want the technologies and expertise being built here to integrate with the global ecosystem and create new opportunities for international cooperation for EiTV and the Brazilian industry,” Araújo adds.
