Building on decades of GatesAir innovation, the Maxiva XTK delivers optimal signal quality across all major digital television standards worldwide, including DVB-T2, ATSC 1.0, ATSC 3.0, ISDB-Tb and Brazil’s emerging DTV+, while extending the same software-defined architecture to DAB and DAB+ networks. Its advanced FPGA-based platform significantly increases processing capacity and incorporates sophisticated Real-Time Adaptive Correction techniques that optimize signal performance across a wide range of RF amplifier configurations, ensuring reliable, high-performance operation for broadcasters regardless of network architecture.
Designed as the next-generation software-defined exciter for GatesAir’s Maxiva transmitter portfolio, the XTK establishes a common technology platform that supports today’s transmission requirements while creating a flexible foundation for future digital standards through simple firmware updates in the field. The Maxiva XTK comes standard across GatesAir’s newest Maxiva television transmitter platforms and is fully compatible with previous-generation Maxiva UHF and VHF transmitters, as well as many Harris legacy digital television systems. The platform’s backwards-compatible design enables broadcasters to modernize signal processing while preserving existing transmission infrastructure, reducing upgrade costs and simplifying transitions to new digital standards.
