GatesAir comes to NAB Show 2025 (West Hall W2720) with new transmission and networking solutions for wireless, over-the-air content delivery spanning across its TV, Radio and Intraplex businesses.
TV Transmission Solutions for 2025 include GatesAir’s IMTX 2+0 system, which adds a two-channel option to the popular Maxiva IMTX Intra-Mast series. The IMTX 2+0 Intra-Mast solution offers the same benefits as its six- and eight-channel siblings with some clever twists. At its core, the IMTX 2+0 supports two compact, low-power transmission modules in a shared protective infrastructure built. The modules can be flexibly configured to serve varied low-power over-the-air TV services with support for most major DTV broadcast standards.
All three IMTX systems include a stacked array of transmission modules securely built into a chassis and pre-configured to provide TV service or fill coverage gaps where signal penetration is a challenge. GatesAir will also introduce a new cost-efficient modulation driver that adds ATSC 3.0 capability to series for its low-power TV transmitters, including the PMTX-1 Series of outdoor weatherproof transmitters. GatesAir developed the modulator based on new field-programmable integrated circuits (FPGA) that enabled a cost-efficient ATSC 3.0 solution across their entire low-power UHF product line, which also includes Maxiva UATK Ultra-Compact transmitter solutions and Maxiva UATK-OP high-efficiency UHF air-cooled DTV transmitters. The modulator’s software-defined architecture, based on GatesAir’s award-winning Maxiva XTE exciter for medium-to-high power transmitters, provides the added value of offering a field-upgradeable path to ATSC 3.0 broadcasting. Brazilian broadcasters benefit from a proven ISDT-Tb to ATSC 3.0 path.
On the radio side, GatesAir has amplified its Intraplex Audio over IP solutions with the IP Link 200n, a two-channel, full duplex version of GatesAir’s IP Link 100n single channel codec for simultaneous reception and transmission of Audio over IP streams. The IP Link 200n comes one year after the debut of the IP Link 100n, a single stereo-channel version that otherwise offers the same impressive feature set thanks to modernized platform with greater capacity for more integrated features.
Along with network path redundancy through GatesAir’s Dynamic Stream Splicing (DSS) software — long a characteristic of GatesAir’s Audio over IP innovations — the IP Link 200n’s greater capacity absorbs 10-bit audio processing technology and updated audio compression algorithms. GatesAir has also completed its Flexiva GX Series with new 2kW and 3kW models. The analog-only, high-efficiency FM transmitter series now offers seven models from 50 W to 10kW.
