Secure and Simplified Control Software for Control Rooms
Video Signal Management at a whole new level
This year at NAB, IHSE will be highlighting our Draco Video Wall System (VWS) control system designed for operation centers and control rooms. Utilizing a hybrid configuration of our IP-based Scalable Pro for video wall displays alongside our draco tera KVM matrix display management systems, IHSE will demonstrate how simple it is to combine multiple KVM systems using our Draco tera IP Gateway setup and incorporating this into a video wall display setup. The IP Gateway uses a grid configuration with our Draco tera Flex and Draco tera Enterprise meshed to share sources across a 10 Gbit fiber link.
Using IHSE’s exclusive Flex-Port technology, each KVM matrix port can be user configured as an input or an output. With the advanced control interface, operators have the option to manage switches through an OSD (on screen display), a GUI Systems Configuration Software, or any third-part control system using our free API.
Via the on-screen-display (OSD) or using IHSE’s tera tool software, every step of the VWS setup process is designed to be quick and easy, configuring inputs and outputs automatically while letting the installer make intelligent design decisions along the way. The controller card inside the matrix switch automatically assigns the extenders to the switch configuration optimizing setup with pre-defined ID tags and without the need of IP addressing.
IHSE’s KVM-over-IP-based Scalable Pro Line 5K, supports up to 5K60 video and multiviewer capabilities over a 10G managed network switch. Optimized firmware has made it possible to transmit 4:4:4 color over a typical 10G network switch up to 5120×1440 @60Hz. These extenders uniquely feature the ability to control and manage up to 16 computer sources on a single display and managed via a single keyboard and mouse. By simply moving the mouse inside the gridded cell and clicking, the operator has full control of the source. In addition, up to four Scalable Pro receivers can be network-bonded to allow up to 64 sources across the four displays.
The flexibility of adding a Draco VMS to any Pro AV environment provides enhanced capabilities to a wide range of users. Training Centers, esports production rooms, Government related Control Rooms, Audio Mixing Rooms, Medical Centers, and Network Operating Centers are typical users who benefit from the Draco VMS.
Draco XStreme – new KVM extender technology using JPEG-XS
To showcase our continually expanding range of cutting-edge technologies IHSE USA introduces the newest addition of advanced display management KVM extenders. Utilizing the industry standard JPEG-XS compression, this series marks a significant milestone in the transmission of high-resolution and low-latency signals and sets the course for future-oriented KVM technology at the highest level.
The Draco XStreme series of KVM extenders is based on a completely new hardware platform that has been specially developed to meet growing technical requirements and new industry standards. The devices support resolutions from Full HD (FHD) up to 8K and combine outstanding picture quality with minimal energy consumption. Implementing the JPEG XS video codec as a key technology enables visually lossless signal transmission with reduced bandwidth utilization and latency.
Draco XStreme enables high-resolution, high-quality and low-latency transmission utilizing our traditional KVM matrix switching systems. This means, for example, that 4K60 signals can be transmitted via a 1 Gbit infrastructure without any visible loss of quality. This results in savings for both energy costs and the network infrastructure used. With the embedded JPEG-XS technology it is now possible to create a hybrid series that supports our traditional Enterprise or Flex Series of KVM Matrix systems or integrating them into future Ethernet-based switching system
Using JPEG-XS allows the Draco XStreme to offer Dual-Head 4K60 over a traditional 10 Gbit ethernet or a singlehead 4K60 extender over a 1 Gbit network system. Further down the line it will be possible for XStreme to provide production facilities the ability to handle up to 8K video
DMS Bundles provide simple ordering for fixed size KVM system
IHSE is pleased to announce the introduction of its new Display Management Systems (DMS) bundles for fixed-sized KVM matrix systems. This is the latest addition to our secure end-to-end KVM solutions for mid-range control rooms, production rooms, and training center applications. The new DMS product line, which includes advanced control management software, USB-HID for keyboard and mouse, and support for either HDMI or DisplayPort video, offers a full package system in sizes ranging from 4×4 up to 16×16. The new DMS bundles include the KVM matrix switch, a full set of extenders and the Draco tera tool software for advanced system management.
With the acceleration of competitive high-end KVM display management systems, it is imperative for manufactures to help customers find what they are looking for in the fastest and easiest way possible. By introducing these KVM Display Management System bundles, the number of products and information a customer must plan for is greatly reduced. Display Management System bundles are predefined groupings of KVM extenders and matrix switches sold together under one part number. Offering these packages reduce the amount of a-la-carte configuration time usually required for customers during the product design process.
Bundling is attractive to customers and dealers who can benefit from a single, value-oriented purchase of complementary offerings. It allows the customer to look at one single part number to satisfy their system configuration. System input and output definitions are pre-defined to make it easier to calculate the right size to fit the user’s computer and workstation needs.
