kvm-tec Series Extenders for KVMoIP With 4K and Multiviewer Capabilities

On display will be kvm-tec’s Scalable Line, supporting networked 4K multiviewer capabilities over a 10G network switch. Unique features include the ability to control and manage up to 16 computer sources on a single display via a single keyboard and mouse.

By simply moving the mouse inside the gridded cell and clicking, the mouse allows full control of the source. In addition, up to four Scalable receivers can be network-bonded to allow up to 64 sources across the four displays.

kvm-tec’s Media4KConnect Series

Thanks to the optimized compression technology and unique conversion processing, kvm-tec’s award-winning media4Kconnect series delivers full-4K resolutions in perfect 4:4:4 color space and is compatible with 10G network switches.

The media4Kconnect models are available in different versions to support standalone extension, redundancy, or — in a fully uncompressed version — up to 4K. These extenders can be used as high-performance, low-latency KVM point-to-point connections or as part of a larger KVM switching system. Switching can be done through either the on-screen display menu or directly through the provided kvm-tec switching manager software.

The media4Kconnect provides a full array of user features to allow customized setups to eliminate the need for external signal and conversion adapters. For instance, the units can be configured to support two images that can be simultaneously displayed as either dual-4K, 4K+downscaled HD, or upscaled 4K and HD.

These units support 4K DisplayPort 1.2 using a single duplex fiber-optic SFP module that extends the signals up to 300 meters (984 feet) with multimode fiber or up to 120 kilometers (74.5 miles) with single-mode fiber. Signals are transmitted with full 4:4:4 at 8-bit color in standard models or up to 4:4:4 at 10-bit in uncompressed models. Standard 4K resolutions up to 4096 x 2160 at 60Hz are achievable with low latency and delay-free transmission.

IHSE now supports full 5K 4:4:4 resolutions with our Draco Ultra DisplayPort Extenders

Thanks to the further development of IHSE’s unique encoding technology, video resolution has been optimized. A new firmware allows the DP1.1 extenders to transmit keyboard, video and mouse signals with screen resolutions up to 5120×1440 in perfect 4:4:4 color space via only one extender pair.

With IHSE’s DisplayPort KVM extenders, workstations including keyboard, mouse and high-definition 5K monitors are physically separated from the source computers, which are usually located in remote server rooms. This is particularly useful in areas such as broadcast, post-production or esports.

The transmission of 5K signals via a pair of extenders was previously only possible using DP1.2 extenders or the kvm-tec Scalableline and Media4Kconnect series. The DP1.1 devices transmit KVM signals over lower bandwidth (1G) and offer higher density mounting in addition to the cost advantage compared to the more powerful DP1.2 extenders. This advantage is appreciated by customers who install six extenders on the CPU side in space-saving 6-unit chassis.

The optional operation of dual-head monitors for the transmission of two video signals over one cable is also possible. The embedded audio transmission with a sample rate of up to 192 kHz can also be output as a separate stereo signal via an additional module. Versions with redundant data transmission are available for maximum fail-safety.

IHSE Draco MultiView 4K60

The IHSE Draco MultiView 4K60 enables the simultaneous operation of four computers displayed on a single display, with full access from a single keyboard and mouse. Offering four inputs and two outputs, the 1-RU solution is capable of handling four ultra-high-resolution video displays up to 4K/UHD at a 60Hz frame rate; users simply move the mouse from one display region to another.

With programmable keyboard commands, real-time switching between video sources is also possible. By default, the system’s individual screens can be arranged freely and displayed in different modes: full-screen, quad-screen, picture-in-picture, preview, 2+2, and free mode. Presets allow for instant switching between layouts. External control options are available via API or the GPIO interface.
