Now Available: Expanded Archive And Restore From ShareBrowser

SNS is now introducing native archive and restore into EVO Suite. Users can send data to Amazon S3-compliant and SMB-connected “archive targets” from within ShareBrowser, making it easier to integrate deep storage into the tools you already know and love with EVO.

ShareBrowser already unifies your online, nearline, and cloud storage workspaces into a centralized, searchable database. Now, your archive workflow can be part of the mix, too.

How do I set up the archive integration? Setup is simple. System administrators can connect a compatible archive—like Amazon S3 cloud or XenData LTO—in just a few clicks with EVO’s included Slingshot engine. Once the systems are connected, any authorized user can interact with the archive through ShareBrowser, EVO’s included media asset management (MAM) system.

How does archive and restore work in ShareBrowser? Users can search, browse, tag, comment on, and preview online media, then send files to the connected archive—all without switching applications or leaving ShareBrowser MAM. Even after files are archived and deleted, ShareBrowser retains your team’s ability to preview them, making it easy to locate, audition, and restore the original files if you need to bring them back online.

This feature is now shipping on the latest version of EVO (EVO OS v.7.1).

Introducing Outpost: A Whole New Way To Review And Approve Media

Outpost is a completely new and visionary review and approval product to enhance and accelerate the feedback process. It allows ShareBrowser users to generate and share a video review link by email with anyone, anytime, anywhere. Recipients can then:

– View and comment on media

– Add emojis and on-screen markups

– Mark their review complete

– Track project activity with email notifications

– Download shared files

– And much more…

Before Outpost, collaborating with stakeholders outside your organization required third-party platforms and multiple manual steps. With Outpost, creative teams can iterate faster and keep projects moving forward without constantly downloading and uploading files for external review.

Outpost is currently in private beta. Complete this form if interested in early access.

Expand To Petabytes: Higher Capacity EVO Configurations Are Here

Go big—or go bigger! SNS now supports 24TB and 30TB HDDs across EVO’s online and nearline shared storage servers. With these higher-capacity drives, a single EVO server can hold nearly half a petabyte of raw storage. Add expansion units, and the numbers get truly massive.

Let’s break down the new maximum configuration for each EVO model.

EVO 16 Bay: Up to 480TB per server, or 2.4PB per node fully expanded.

EVO Nearline: Up to 480TB per server, or 2.4PB per node fully expanded.

EVO 8 Bay 2U: Up to 240TB per server, or 720TB per node fully expanded.

EVO 8 Bay Short Depth: Up to 240TB per server, or 720TB per node fully expanded.

Most importantly, this extra capacity comes without compromise. Certified by our expert in-house engineers, these high capacity configurations deliver the same performance, reliability, and workflow efficiency users depend on with EVO.
