This daily report offers you what we have learned at Prensario Zone from our interviews with the main Latin American telco operators, OTTs and ISPs. Many of the new operators have increased their market share and are receiving all-inclusive service proposals, as seen at the NexTV Andean conference held last week.

On the one hand, the large telco operators are adopting a new role as Aggregators of all the contents they consider the subscriber wants to watch. Jean Paul Broc from Izzi provides a good example of this strategy, with 14 millions of customers considering video, internet, voice and mobile; it added 75,000 customers in a few months. And, Raymundo Fernandez has described how Megacable converted 60& of its network to FTTH and launched their OTT service Xview+ improving the interfase with Android TV. Millicom highlighted its agreement with AWS; VTR in Chile with IA and Telecom in Argentina with Flow are other examples of new technologies applied and OTT/VOD growth.

On the other hand, we have new OTT director services to ISP such as GuigoTV, Watch and The Box Brazil. Here the important thing is that they have added linear local Free TV channels to their complete services.
No less relevant, we feature examples of Andean Region expansion with Carlos Zenteno from Claro in Colombia with their growth on OTT, 4G coverage and first steps on 5G, as well as Mariano Díaz de Vivar from DirecTV regarding the development of DirecTV Go in several countries.

All these issues have been discussed at the Nextv Andean conference with Diaz de Vivar, ETB and Telefonica at one of the sessions; the new models of OTT business in Latin America were highlighted at another session, with moderation by Prensario. Eduardo Stigol from Intercable Venezuela and TuVes HD was also present explaining the advantages of DTH delivery for pay TV systems at rural areas.
