‘We continue to attract new customers for our Rally media supply chain platform, both in the United States and internationally’, said Larry Kaplan, President and CEO of SDVI, sharing his insights with Prensario ahead of IBC and offering a positive assessment of SDVI’s global performance this year.
“We are encouraged by the increasing usage from our existing clients. Clearly, market dynamics are pushing media companies towards greater efficiency and responsiveness, and we provide clear solutions to meet these demands”,
Kaplan emphasized how the SDVI Rally platform sets itself apart from competitors. “SDVI Rally stands out in several ways. Firstly, it comprehensively covers and optimizes the entire media supply chain, from content ingestion to delivery, and everything in between. There’s simply no other option for managing all aspects of workflows, resource provisioning, applications, infrastructure, guiding both automated and manual processes, and offering enterprise-wide visibility into supply chain metrics. Rally platform users have demonstrated its unmatched scale and scope, with a wide range of use cases deployed and over 340 million jobs executed in 2022”.
Discussing SDVI’s presence in Latin America, Kaplan praised Nahuel Villegas, a valuable addition to their team. “In Latin America, Nahuel has been a tremendous asset, and we’re thrilled he joined us last year. He boasts deep relationships and credibility with key leaders in the region’s media industry, and he’s doing an exceptional job introducing SDVI to the LATAM market”.
Kaplan outlined the main message SDVI aims to convey at IBC. “At this year’s IBC, we’ll showcase how the Rally platform optimizes the entire media supply chain, from content ingestion to delivery. We’ll highlight the platform’s innovations, including 23 releases with over 140 new features since the last IBC. Recent enhancements include workflow improvements, user interface upgrades, and new technical capabilities like 4K, HDR, and a new asset hierarchy supporting the MovieLabs 2030 Ontology”.
Kaplan expressed excitement about IBC, as it signifies a return to normalcy compared to last year. “We eagerly anticipate IBC this year, a great opportunity to meet with customers and prospects. On the technology front, I’m particularly interested in observing the impact of AI on the media space and the new AI-driven capabilities on display. We also anticipate robust demand for localization solutions to streamline the production of culturally relevant content for global distribution”.
Looking ahead to 2024, Kaplan revealed exciting plans for the Rally platform. “For 2024, we have an exciting roadmap for the Rally platform that will expand what customers can achieve with their supply chains and how they can efficiently exchange content”.
