ST Engineering iDirect showcased the MCX8000 and Skyflow at SET expo

Bart van Utterbeck with his team in his big stand at SET Expo

Bart Van Utterbeeck, General Manager of LATAM at ST Engineering iDirect, was once again the protagonist at SET Expo due to the great position they have had in Brazil for many years. That is why the attendance was very satisfactory and intense during the three days of the expo in Sao Paulo.

As he commented to Prensario, they had two important recent releases. On the one hand, the MCX 8000 multi-satellite port, which was declared product of the year at NAB 2023 and was launched at SET expo for the region.

It is a piece of equipment with high processing capacity and IP encapsulation, very flexible with a power supply that guarantees its high reliability and is also very compact, with an All in one redundancy reduction solution. They are also working on it as a company for the DVB NIP as a path for the future.

The other great solution that they supported is Skyflow, in alliance with EKT, EasyBroadcast and Quadrille which has a success story with the Government of Peru in a distance education project.

At the stand they had a demonstration so that customers can better see what it is about. In short, with Skyflow they can give a sensation of traditional satellite OTT, very suitable for Latin America. It is a product where they seek a high added value and to be able to provide more services to better monetize the consumption of the band and the satellite.

Van Utterbeeck adds that the IBC in Amsterdam will undoubtedly continue to emphasize these products.
